Tomorrow afternoon, I will be on an Airbus A340 plane (very similar to the one above) on my way to Hong Kong for a layover before I arrive in Australia on the morning of Sunday, July 8th.

My flight itinerary is as follows:

For those who don’t know, I will be in Australia for one full calendar year, studying abroad at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). I don’t anticipate nor expect to be back during my vacations, so I’ll actually be away from home, family, and friends for one full year! It will both be my first time traveling internationally alone as well as being away from home for so long.

I’m excited, scared, anxious, and nervous all at once. It’s a weird feeling, let me tell you. But I think my excitement overpowers the rest of the emotions so for now, I’m just excited to see what’s ahead in Melbourne.

The good thing about running a website is that I can sorta keep in touch with lots of people at once — even if it’s on a surface level — just by maintaining this site. So if you aren’t getting emails from me, then just check back daily as I update for the next coming year from halfway around the world (for me at least) in Melbourne, Australia.

Cheers, mates!
