In an effort to please customer demands for a better space-saving cereal box, Kellogg’s is testing a shorter and fatter cereal box that it claims will transform the cereal aisle at your local grocery store. The new cereal box is the biggest change to come to Kellogg’s food packaging since the 1950′s. The redesign lends itself to Kellogg’s commitment to be a “greener” company as the new boxes use 8% less material.

For the next 6 months, Kellogg’s will be testing customer response to these new boxes and will adjust their distribution accordingly based on customer approval and feedback. If all goes well, expect to see these fancy new packages in your cereal aisle in the future.

Here’s how the new cereal boxes will look at your local supermarket.
