I seemed to have missed this book by several months, but what I wouldn’t give to get a copy in my hands! Only 500 copies of Helvetica and the New York City Subway System were printed and all have been either sold or given away. The book, designed by Paul Shaw and Abby Goldstein explores the different typefaces in the New York City Subway system and goes pretty in-depth into the current standardization of Helvetica in the modern subway. From the sample spreads, this looks like it would have been a phenomenal book to own. I wish I had known about this sooner.
