Skylar over at idsgn has an incredibly thorough look at the design behind the recently announced Adobe Creative Suite 5. It turns out that a good portion of the splash screens for each application within CS5 were inspired by the iconography from te 1972 Munich Olympics (designed by Otl Aichera). It’s interesting to read this interview because you get to see the entire look of CS5 deconstructed to its most basic elements — mainly geometric shapes and color.
