Ross Mantle’s ongoing series entitled “In The Wake of an American Dream” is an interesting set of photos that depicts the death of an American town — The Monongahela Valley — as it becomes victim to new opportunities and jobs popping up elsewhere. Its citizens are stuck in a town built around a pre-industrial world and the photos show how some folks are coping and how some others aren’t bothering to do much about it at all. The town is a bit of a ghost-town, but I’d love to visit and check it out. [via]
