Fstoppers caught up with a man named Noam Galai who found out slowly that a self-portrait that he took ended up being spread all around the world without him knowing. The photo of him screaming was originally posted to Flickr along with several other similar photos and it has since gone viral in a way he never could have imagined.

It has served as the representative portrait of angry people in Iran vowing for change, it has sold books, it has become a stencil, and it has been borrowed for graphic design over and over again. Most of the time Noam isn’t even acknowledge for the photo but he doesn’t seem too distraught about it. It’s kind of made him a celebrity in a sense.
