David Tribby took a trip into the abandoned Gary Screw and Bolt Company in Gary, Indiana. The former steel factory was in competition with the U.S. Steel Corporation back in the early 1900′s and eventually became one of the largest bolt, nut, and rivet factories in America.

The factory was abandoned sometime in 1986, years after a fire burned down a large portion of the plant, and has since been left unmanaged on a lot on E 7th Avenue in Gary, Indiana. What a fascinating place. I’d love to visit!

Check out David’s photos of the place here.
