WIRED has a look inside the Svalbard Global Seed Vault which I wrote about previously. Photographer Dornith Doherty ventured into giant, secluded underground vault and had a first-hand look at the more than 10,000 seed samples housed inside. The freezing temperatures inside the vault locked up her digital SLR but her handy 4×5 camera worked flawlessly. Technology doesn’t always save…this should be a lesson for the Svalbard Global Seed Vault. [via]
