I just spent the last hour watching this video from Friends of The High Line about how two individuals and their respective organizations are helping to rebuild abandoned areas of Detroit and support future revitalization projects by giving back to the community.

One of the things talked about in this video is the transformation of Detroit’s waterfront property by the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy. The job this organization did in completely changing this waterfront is remarkable. I had the opportunity to visit it earlier this year and it truly is a remarkable feat in architecture and community revitalization.
