Marketed and sold between 1995 and 1997 (according to my trusty source Wikipedia), the Apple Pippin was a joint venture between Bandai and the computer-maker and consisted of a controller with a scrollwheel similar to that of a mouse. It was based on the Macintosh platform and played mostly CD-ROM games but could also be used as a networked machine.

Not the prettiest thing to come out of Cupertino, especially given that it looks like a VCR.
