I haven’t seen this story being pushed at all which is a bit weird to me considering how secure and dangerous these borders usually are. If you have’t heard yet, last week, a North Korean solder killed two of his supervisors and then crossed into the DMZ (De-militarized Zone) and eventually into South Korea where he was taken into custody.

Could it be that unrest is now going as high as the military in North Korea? Does this possibly speak volumes about what may¬†be happening in this country from the inside? It’s hard to tell, but I’d like to think that if a soldier — who from what I gather is normally pretty well taken care of in North Korea — is willing to leave on such an extreme note, then something else must be boiling underneath the NK surface.
