BusinessWeek sat down for a 1-on-1 with Massimo Vignelli, the famed designed who created the look of American Airlines’ previous branding using Helvetica typeface. In short, Massimo is a bit biased towards his own older logo, but gives good reason behind it.

One of the more interesting things he mentioned was that the new planes are going to be painted, rather than left bare like previous American Airlines liveries. This means added weight and added fuel consumption. Hmm. Read the whole interview here.
