I’m glad I’m not the only person thinking about the flaws of Outbox.

The Verge notes that the Outbox service, while seemingly charming at first glance, is actually no problem-solver of anything related to how much junk you get. There’s still an inbox, there’s still your junk mail there, and the service as a whole is a huge waste of resources. A noble and novel idea, but one that seems very odd to me at launch.
