Officially launching on March 5th at 8:30PM, a new light installation called The Bay Lights will turn San Francisco’s Bay Bridge into the world’s largest light installation. Measuring 1.8 miles in length, 500 feet high at its tallest point, and consisting of 25,000 individually programmed LED lights, the massive light display is the work and brainchild of NYC-based artist Leo Villareal.

I’ve included a couple of videos inside that show what the installation looks like as it’s being tested prior to launch date.

EDIT: Changed the post to say “THE BAY BRIDGE” instead of Golden Gate Bridge, because I am dumb and I didn’t know the difference beforehand. Oops! :)
