When I was in NY last month, I accidentally stumbled upon the HBO premiere of Which Way Is The Front Line From Here? The Life and Time of Tim Hetherington by fellow photographer and documentarian Sebastian Junger. The documentary follows the life and events leading up to the 2011 death of Tim Hetherington by mortar fire in Libya as he photographed the conflict there.

His insatiable hunger to be in the middle of the action was one of the prime reasons he is considered one of the best war and documentary photographers of his generation. The documentary is incredibly thought-provoking, heart-warming, and of course, sad. But if you want to see a man with true passion in his eyes for his work, this is a film to watch.
