I totally forgot to write about this. A couple of weeks back I went to this place along the Southern California coast in San Pedro known as Sunken City. From what I’ve been told, there was a landslide here a few decades ago which caused the community which was built here to slide right into the sea. The remnants of this event are what you see in the images here — sidewalk sections, infrastructure and pipes, and some leftover street lamp bases. It’s a remarkable sight and place to be in and if you’re ever in the San Pedro area (near the Korean Friendship Bell), head on over and check it out.

The area is closed off with a gate, but if you go all the way to the right end of the gate, you’ll see a hole that’s dug out for people to enter. No problems getting in.

More photos inside.
