This is interesting. The New York Times reports that the MTA is looking into possible future articulated cars for the NYC Subway system (that is, subway trains that are essentially one entire train car long with no doors in between cars).

Trains like this already run in places like Hong Kong’s MTR subway system and are fantastic. Not to mention that they offer some amazing views underground. I’d be all for this if the MTA could figure out its budget for it.
