You know, I’m not 100% sure you can even buy this backpack anymore (YES, it’s still available!!), but I wanted to take some time out and show off this Heritage series backpack from Timbuk2. It’s one of the many bags from Timbuk2 that celebrate the rich history of the San Francisco-based company. While they didn’t start out making backpacks, they have certainly pushed this style alongside their messenger and travel bags. And for good reason too since they are well-made, priced extremely well and competitively, and come in colors as wild or subdued as your heart desires.

This one here is a tribute to the classic look of Timbuk2 messenger bags of the past as you’ll see in the square-shaped logo patch. Overall, it’s not a very technical bag but more of an everyday carry sort of backpack. Pockets for all the daily essentials — chargers, pens, notebooks, iPad/tablet, and computer. It’s the little details however that really bring this bag together, such as the leather zipper pull tabs, the contoured and lightly padded shoulder straps, and the jumbo-sized main compartment zipper for easy opening without getting the zipper stuck. I like all of these things.
