I just found out about this place in Glebe, New South Wales called the Rozelle Tram Depot. It’s an old tram depot that houses several historic Sydney tram cars when they were taken out of service. For a while they stood pristine and in decent condition, waiting to be restored or saved in a museum, but sometime in the early 2000s vandals broke in and stripped and tagged the entire building — including the tram cars.

Now, the remaining trams sit there rotting and the building by all accounts seems to be utterly abandoned and pretty easy to access (it’s located here if anybody wants to venture in). I’d love to check this place out.

There are some photos here of the Rozelle Tram Depot before it was vandalized.

More photos inside.
