My mind is playing tricks on me. This is different than those 3D stereoscopic GIFs I’ve seen. By simply adding 3 vertical lines to this animated GIF, the creator made it look like the gun was popping out of the screen. I understand it, but I don’t at the same time.

Tumblr founder David Karp presented GIF creator Steve Wilhite with the 2013 Webby Lifetime Achievement Award for his loveable digital creation, and as his acceptance speech, he puts it out there once and for all: IT’S PRONOUNCED “JIF”, NOT GIF. And there you have it.


I’ve said this before, but in case you missed it, the GE Tumblr is pretty neat.

I used to have one of these cameras, but I have no idea where it went.
