I wish I could have Alex Roulette’s weird oil on canvas paintings hung all over my apartment. They’re fun, bizarre, and very detailed. Their lack of important subject matter also makes them such a weird subject for an oil on canvas, and I think that really appeals to me. Check out some selects below.

I really love this project from Daniel Kukla where he takes large square mirrors and positions them just right in a desert setting to make them look like paintings. [via]

This is an interesting shop based in LA that allows you to submit your photos for printing onto large canvas. Prices are a bit steeper than AdoramaPix (which I’ve had success with in the past) but it’s nice to throw some support locally anyway. Check them out here.
