Venezuelan artist Rafael Barrios has a series of new optical illusion installations on Park Avenue. They serve as a pretty great contrasting piece against the city’s tall buildings.

This is one of the craziest optical illusions I’ve ever seen. That cube really does look like it’s floating and moving around on that piece of paper!

In this optical illusion, Koukichi Sugihara makes it seem as if balls on a slop are rolling up toward the center. This amazing visual trick won the top prize at the 2010 Illusion Of The Year Contest (this is a real thing?). [via]
