It’s finally here. The untethered jailbreak for iOS 7.1.x (all the way to the most recent version of iOS). It’s taken a long time. For now, it’s only available for Windows but hopefully a Mac version comes out soon.


Confirmed working untethered jailbreak. Cydia is a bit bogged down at the moment with everyone trying to connect to it at once because of this new jailbreak, but other than that, this works swell.

It’s true, the iOS 6 jailbreak is now out. Please watch the video below to familiarize yourself with this new jailbreak (or read this full tutorial).


Lovely news from Cult of Mac this morning as they report on genuine progress and hope in the untethered jailbreak scene for iOS 6 — specifically that the release of 6.1 is when we’ll see the jailbreak released. Only another week or so!

But it’s not released yet because the hackers don’t want to give up a vulnerability that may allow them to access other parts of future jailbreaks. Interesting…
