I noticed the decrease in streaming speed for Netflix on my FiOS connection upstate the other day but didn’t have the tools to record or prove that it was indeed Verizon throttling the connection to one particular website. But this guy does. So messed up.

I can’t quite pinpoint the year this was taken, but I had no idea that the ugly Verizon building in Manhattan used to belong to AT&T. Weird!

Verizon’s Golden-i Mobile Computer

John sends over this video from VerizonĀ about the company’s advances in communication technology focused specifically around firefighters. Using a device called the Golden-i (not too different from Google Glass), Verizon is able to relay all sorts of information directly to a firefighter’s earpiece and heads up display. Watch the video inside!

Things I love: Hamburgers, dogs, cats, trains, and WINDFARMS. I love windmills.
